DESCRIPTION

The objective of the INNOCASH-NTP Intelligent blade for wind mills is to develop a system to monitor the load of wind mills blades by means of FBG (Bragg cells based optical sensors). Then, based on this information, the following tasks will be performed:
i)        Individual pitch control (IPC) to minimize dynamic loads.
ii)    Condition monitoring and calculation of the of the lifespan and residual life of the blades.

ACTIVITY DEVELOPED BY AINTECH

  • System technical specifications.
  • Definition of the hardware platform (prototype) of the Load Processing Unite (UPC) set up in the nacelle.
  • Definition and implementation of the UPC software.
  • Definition and implementation of the user interface and load analysis applications.
  • Manufactiring of two prototypes to carry out tests in an industrial machine and implementation of the the auxiliary testing equipment.
  • Technical support in field testing activity and system tunning.
