PROJECT START/END

September 2010 / September 2013

DESCRIPTION

The objective of the Project is to set up new strategies around the nantechnolgy field, able to be scaled up to industrial levels, allowing companies de develop new materials with non conventional properties. The Project Works at three scale levels, corresponding to cero, two and three dimensions, including:

  • Nano particles customized design: Complex and oxydic nano particles particularly synthetized for the specific application, controlling it size and shape. It is also included the functionalisation of the particles following physical, chemical and mechanical surface modification strategies.
  • Surface materials structured ant nano scale level: the aim of thios activity is to develop nano structured coatings (nano coatings and coatings including ano particles).
  • New hybrid materials: Including nano particles in different materials orporación de nanopartículas a distintos materiales (polimers and ceramics) to get matrials with new functionalities.

These lines of activity allow to develop new materials with a wide range of applications, among them, we stress: ceramics – graphite hybrid materials to be used in demanding breaking applications; semi conductive ceramics for electronic applications; epoxy resins with strong resistance to the rolling and extreme thermal conditions, etc.

ACTIVITY DEVELOPED BY AINTECH

  • Development of nano particles.
  • Development of nano compounds.
  • Development of nano structured coatings.
  • Tribological properties validation.
  • Surface analysis and characterization.
