TAFF Project

Development of PV flexible modules using roll-to-roll techniques (TAFF)
Reference: PID-600200-2009-23

TAFF Project

Recibed funding:

Subvención: 125.377,50 €

Préstamo: 250.755 €

January 2009 / December 2011

The objective of the project was the development of PV flexible cells for the automotion sector. Low cost technologies as ink – jet and roll – to – roll have been explored, taking into account the need to find the best performance/cost balance.
These PV cells have been designed as taking the vehicle roof function, feeding the battery and covering as far as possible the electrical vehicle needs.
So, the technological development has been focused on flexible supports, on the use of cheaper components than in conventional PV applications looking for a better efficiency in terms of PV surface by time unit.

  • Materials adaptating for PV applications.
  • Aging characterization of treated materials.
  • Flexible modules delivering.
